The premiere opera
"Ernani" is based on Victor Hugo's work and tells the dramatic love story of Ernani and Elvira. It will be presented as a concert, in four parts, with the the Amazonas Chorale e Orquestra Experimental da Amazonas Filarmônicaconducted by maestro Luiz Fernando Malheiro Luiz Fernando Malheiro.
The protagonist of the opera, Chilean tenor Enrique Bravo, who has lived in Manaus since 2000, considers it a challenge to play the character. "Ernani is a great challenge, beautiful singing, difficult interpretation, powerful highs and extension of the role. Added to this is the performance, which will be in concert format, and which, contrary to appearances, makes things more difficult, an opera at the limit of human capacity," he comments.

With a duration of three hours and an intermission of 30 minutes, "Ernani" counts in the cast, besides Enrique Bravo, with the Mexican Maria Katzarava (soprano), as Elvira; and the Brazilians Luiz-Ottavio Faria (bass), as Don Ruy Gomes de Silva; Rodolfo Giugliani (baritone), as Don Carlo; Thalita Azevedo (mezzo-soprano), as Giovanna; Micah William (tenor), as Don Riccardo; and Emanuel Conde (bass), as Jago.
