7th Sarau das Manas takes place this Saturday (30)

The group is formed by women artists of the hip hop culture of Manaus, who act in the most diverse languages, with the goal of generating self-esteem, visibility and developing actions aimed at financial autonomy.

O 7th Sarau das Manas closes the month of remembrance of women's struggle this Saturday, the 30th, with a full day of Mutirão of women's care, at the Institute of Citizenship and Social Development of Amazonas - ICDSAM. In the morning and part of the afternoon, there will be medical attention and massage, manicure and pedicure, make-up, eyebrow design, tattoo and bodypiercing* services will also be offered.

In the afternoon, musical presentations are planned, with the artists Elisa Maia, Anna Suav, Lary Go & Strela and the group Mayaand the microphone will be open so that women can express themselves, either by reading poetry, rhyming, or leaving their message.

The Sarau das Manas is a project of the Todas São Manas group - created from the Todas São Manas Festival by graffiti artist and visual artist Deborah Erê. The group is formed by women artists of hip hop culture from Manaus/AM, who work in various languages (graffiti artists, MCs, DJs, producers, bgirls), aiming to generate self-esteem, visibility and develop actions aimed at financial autonomy. And in its seventh edition, the Sarau das Manas also happens in partnership with the Collective Branzeiro Feminist, which since 2012 performs various actions within intersectional actions that combat machismo, sexism, racism and lgbtphobia and all forms of oppression. In the morning, the Collective will also lead the conversation circle 'Self-esteem that frees', mediated by activist Aline Maionese.

The Sarau das Manas, which has occupied art galleries, public squares and other spaces, this time comes to the Instituto de Cidadania e Desenvolvimento Social do Amazonas - ICDSAM, which is a non-governmental organization, non-profit, created in the city of Manaus, in the neighborhood of Educandos, from initiatives of a group of residents concerned with the situation of social vulnerability in the neighborhood and that aims to promote social, educational, sports and cultural actions of social inclusion, through various partnerships. The Institute currently occupies the building of a former abandoned police station, on Macurany Street, in the neighborhood of Educandos, and houses about five homeless families because of the big fire that happened in the neighborhood at the end of last year.

The event is also supported by Coletivo Difusão and Angel e Estética.
