Registration opens for the Maria Helena Fonsêca Tourism Award

The award ceremony will take place on May 9, at ESAT.

Applications for the 4th Edition of the Maria Helena Fonsêca Tourism Awardpromoted by the Tourism Laboratory of the Amazonas State University (Labotur/UEA) in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Travel Agencies (ABAV-AM), Brazilian Association of Hotel Industry (ABIH-AM) and Federation of Trade of Goods, Services and Tourism (Fecomércio-AM).

Tourism students and undergraduates from public and private universities in Manaus can compete for the award, as well as students from other courses, as long as they are associated with tourism students and undergraduates. The event is governed by a regulation, which presents general information about the award, registration, awards, organizing committee and evaluation, and can be accessed via the link below.

Ideas and solutions for tourism companies, destinations or attractions, and Course Completion Work or Scientific Initiation Research are the two categories of entries that make up the award, along with their evaluation criteria. The participants can register individually or as a pair, competing only in a specific category, through the site http://premiodeturismo.wixsite.com/mhfonseca.

Strengthening

The goal of the Maria Helena Fônseca Tourism Award is to bring students and graduates of tourism courses in Amazonas closer to the Amazon tourist trade, to stimulate the improvement of technical and personal skills, and also to formulate ideas and solutions that can help in the development of the tourism segment.

The result will be announced on UEA's website on May 2nd. The award ceremony will take place on May 9, at the School of Arts and Tourism (Esat), located at Avenida Leonardo Malcher, No. 1728, Square 14.
