The International Academy of Design & Health (IADH) promotes in Manaus the "II International Symposium on Hospital Architecture and Salutogenesison 7, 8 and 9 of November, at the UniNorte Theater (Joaquim Nabuco Avenue, 1447, Center). The event puts the future of health under discussion, through lectures with national and international experts.
The IADH is a global multidisciplinary knowledge community dedicated to stimulating and disseminating research. The event will bring together about 20 speakers, among them, specialists from Sweden, Canada, Japan, the United States and Italy. Specialists from São Paulo, Rondônia and Amazonas will also participate.
This is the first time UniNorte hosts the event. The symposium is a partnership with the International Office, a sector of UniNorte focused on incentive programs for entrepreneurship, social responsibility, awards and exchange.
The event will bring subjects related to salutogenesis, a concept of "sense of coherence", which involves full well-being in the environment in which one lives and with oneself, thus avoiding the appearance of diseases. It will also present the following themes: "Technology and the Future of Health", "Telemedicine and Its Effects on Human Relations", "Sustainable Energy Development", "Flexibility in Health Spaces", and "The Architect's Work: Focus on Health, Not Disease".
Students and teachers from several courses, such as Architecture, Engineering, Administration, Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, and Pharmacy, must participate in the symposium.
The program starts at 3pm and goes until 8pm, on the three days. Registration is open and can be made online at www.iadh-simposio.com/. There will be discounts for students of the institution.
