Concert brings together Amazonas Chamber Orchestra, Aliases band and Balé Folclórico on the stage of Teatro Amazonas.

Opening the fifth edition of the "Series "Meeting of the Waters, a Amazonas Chamber Orchestra (OCA) presents, in partnership with the Aliases Bandthe concert "All Starthis Friday (07/19), 8:00 PM, at the Amazonas Theater. The show will take you on a journey through soul hits and their influences, focusing on the songs of Amy Winehouse.

Guitarist Tiago Queiroz says that the idea of "All Star" came after Aliases performed a tribute to the British singer. "In November 2018, we did a tribute to Amy that was very well accepted and we felt the need to do a bigger show. We thought about replicating the show she did in a theater in London, recorded on DVD, and we talked to the conductor Marcelo de Jesus, who accepted the proposal and improved the idea," he says.
According to Marcelo de Jesus, the conductor of the show, "All Star" will bring together soul music songs that influenced and were influenced by the artist. "The band brought us a proposal, and we adapted it to the format of the 'Série Encontro das Águas,' which does rereadings of the works," says Marcelo de Jesus. "Besides new arrangements for Amy Winehouse's songs, we included influences: what came before and what came after Amy. And there is Glenn Miller, Marvin Gaye, and many others.
Artists like Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Jamiroquai, Spice Girls, and Justin Timberlake will also be remembered in the show.

Besides the Amazonas Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Marcelo de Jesus, and the Aliases band, the show will also feature musicians Carol Martins, Nay Souza, Humberto Sobrinho, and Andrio Dias; and the Amazonas Folkloric Ballet.
"All Star' is a diverse show. We have the Chamber Orchestra, a pioneer in making crossover in Amazonas, together with the Aliases band, which already has its own repertoire; the insertion of the Folkloric Ballet in some songs, with aerial ballet; and backing vocals of different styles: lyrical, pop, and rock. We will promote dialogues on several levels," Marcelo de Jesus points out.
The Balé Folclórico will dance to seven songs, with 18 dancers on stage, and choreographed by the maitre d' Flávio Soares. During the show videos will also be shown on a LED screen, edited in harmony with the songs that will be performed.
Premiere
The Aliases' guitarist highlights that it will be the band's debut on the stage of the Teatro Amazonas. "It will be our first performance at the Theater. We are very happy and anxious, every rehearsal is already a joy, a discovery and many photos. It is a dream to be there and the contact with the OCA is also sensational," he says.
"All Star" will be performed again at Teatro Amazonas, on July 27, at 8pm.
