Invited by the Ministry of Tourismthe Amazonas State Company of Tourism (Amazonastur) will participate in the seventh edition of the main travel and tourism event in Latin America, the Word Travel Market Latin America (WTM). This year, WTM will gather representatives from 50 countries and about 10 thousand visitors from all over the world in three days of event, which takes place from April 2 to 4, at the Expo Center, in São Paulo, Brazil. According to the organizers, the estimate is that the business done is around US$ 374 million.
Amazonas will be present at the Ministry of Tourism's institutional booth, where the main tourist products of the region will be displayed, along with other states of the federation, divided into four thematic spaces.
For the president of Amazonastur, Roselene Medeiros, the participation of Amazonas at WTM has great importance at this time when discussing the strengthening and promotion of tourism in the state. "There will be lectures on Brazilian tourist destinations, sectorial meetings, and meetings with strategic partners. It is strictly a business fair. This generates a greater flow because the operator will be selling his product directly, since 51% of the visitors are directly responsible for purchases", she emphasized.
Roselene also highlights that tourism is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world and some countries have overcome crises and generated jobs. "Brazil, and particularly Amazonas, has a lot of potential to be explored. We need to look to the future. We invite the trade of tourism to participate with us in the fair because we believe that entrepreneurs are the ones who make the economy turn around. And we want to strengthen this partnership each time", he said.
The Amazon at WTM
The entrepreneurs of the tourism sector that will be present at WTM will be able to know and negotiate the destination Amazonas through the spaces of Amazonastur about investment area, destination, experiences and Brazil parks.
Investment Area
Amazonastur will present 30 projects that were developed by Amazonastur in partnership with municipal secretaries and also with the private initiative. The authors will have the opportunity to raise the necessary resources to develop their projects.
Brazilian Destination
There will be an exhibition of tourist products of each destination, giving the opportunity to the entrepreneurs of the sector to negotiate directly with international operators interested in getting to know Amazonas.
Brazil Experience
In this space, besides presenting a new product, the entrepreneur will have to do more interactive demonstrations, using something characteristic of the place so that the interested party can "experience" what they will find in the region, which can be the smell of the earth, the water of the place, or a virtual trip.
Brazilian Parks
Products existing in the conservation units will be exhibited. In Amazonas, the Ministry of Tourism has indicated Anavilhanas National Park to be presented to national and international tourism operators.
