Ancine invests R$ 17 million in independent production companies

Films that participated in festivals and were awarded in the competitive shows can apply for the resources.

The National Cinema Agency (Ancine) will invest R$ 17 million in independent production companies that have won awards at festivals in the categories of best film and best direction, or have participated in film festivals. The investment will be distributed through public call of Automatic Support - Artistic Performance. In all, the resources will be distributed to ten productions. Each prize is awarded a score according to the score they achieve in these competitions.

Participation

Registration begins this Friday (September 10) and runs until September 24. The documentation required in the announcement must be sent to Ancine's headquarters. The investment aims to boost the production, development, and distribution of the country's audiovisual production. Feature films released in 2016 will be accepted.
