The season is Carnaval, but those who love Boi-bumbá will be able to sing and remember the clássic toadas in the show #TBT Boi-Bumbá that will pay tribute to the singer Arlindo Júnior. Responsible for the party, the singer Hêmilly Lira receives Mara Lira and guests on Thursday (16/1), às 21h, in the Cultural Space Curupira Mãe do Matolocated at Av. Sete de Setembro, 1710, Centro. The entrance fee is R$ 15,00.
According to the singer Hêmilly Lira, the proposal to offer the public an event that could rescue the toadas clássicas was old, but onlyó left the paper in late December. "And it worked very well with the support of my friend and journalist, Jacqueline Nascimento, who gave the event its name," she said.
In the second edition, the proposal is to honor the Boi-bumbá cone and singer, Arlindo Júnior, the Jungle Pop. "The first event was very good and é of course, in this second one, there was no way to exalt our culture and not celebrate the history of Arlindo. For me, he was more than an artist, he was a friend, because he always encouraged me in my artistic career. He made me grow and always supported me," he recalled.
For the show, Hêmilly Lira invited the singer Mara Lima. "Mara's story with Arlindo is also very beautiful: one of friendship and encouragement. Besides being a woman who raises our culture, she is a woman who sings Boi-Bumbá she breaks down barriers and fights against machismo in the milieu and, for this reason, she was the first person I thought of inviting to the show," he emphasized.
