With 37 works by new talents of the visual arts of Amazonas, the exhibition "Emerging Artists opens this Tuesday (11/6), at 7pm, at the Palácio Rio Negro Palácio Rio Negro Cultural Center (Sete de Setembro avenue, 1.546, Center). The exhibition has free admission.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to present the technique and the work of André Matheus, Andréia Batista, Fábio Silva (Ortiz), Jasiel Padrón, Karina Freitas, Markus Santos, Matheus Williams, Paola Honda Castro, Paulo Victor, and Weverton Ribeiro, names that are starting to stand out in the local scene.
"The art scene in Manaus has grown considerably and, with it, new artists have emerged who are looking for an opportunity to show their work and have their insertion in the local visual arts scene. Thinking of this possibility, we created this exhibition that aims to reveal new talents and show the various techniques that each of them has, and how they use existing tools to achieve a unique and own result in their work, "says Cristoffer Ferreira, curator of the collective.
"Emerging Artists" features 37 free works with artistic drawing techniques with colored pencils, digital illustration, drawings made with china ink and ballpoint pen, hatching, watercolor, and graphite. The show will be available until September 29 during the space's visiting hours: Tuesday through Saturday, from 9am to 5pm; and Sunday, from 9am to 2pm.
