Joy, music, leisure and tradition mark the 34th anniversary of the neighborhood São José Operárioin the East zone, and the 38th anniversary of the neighborhood Cidade Novain the North Zone. The festivities are free and have the support of the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult).
In São José 3, the event takes place this Saturday, 27/4, from 18h, on J street, near the Sports and Leisure Center (CEL) Zezinho. According to community leader and responsible for the event for five years, Paulo Nascimento, the celebration is a moment for the community to celebrate the joy and improvements in the neighborhood.
In the event's program, the following attractions are confirmed Jardel Santos, Grupo de Forró 100% Abusadobesides the singers Angelica Moral e Dany Alves who promise to shake up the neighborhood celebration.
Considered the sixth most populous neighborhood of the city of Manaus, São José was born in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The first residents came from other municipalities in the interior of Amazonas, mainly river dwellers in search of opportunities in the Manaus Free Trade Zone. To resolve the conflict between residents and land grabbers, the mayor at the time, José Fernandes, expropriated land and allotted land, making the neighborhood official. On the limits of the industries, the workers' home arose: a binomial combination of housing and work.
North Zone
On April 26 and 27, the Cidade Nova neighborhood celebrates its 38th anniversary. For the last five years, the Association for the Cultural and Social Development of the North Zone has been holding this great party, with the support of the Manaus City Hall. This year, the event will take place from 7pm on Bispo Pedro Massa Avenue, next to Sumaúma Shopping Mall.
Among the attractions already confirmed at the party are: Forró 100% Abusado, Jardel Santos, Forró Ideal e Band Impakto. In addition, the program includes Happy Birthday, with cake distributed to the public.
