One of the most famous in Parintins is the new CantagaloThe new Cantagalo, the main public bathhouse in the city, was renovated by the city government, and is now managed by the private sector. The leisure complex is located in the community of Aninga, a rural area of Parintinins, amidst the ostentatious beauty of the Amazon.
According to the director of Cantagalo, Alexandre Leal, the new bathhouse is an excellent place for visitors who like to contemplate nature, on a pier, or in boats. "For those of you who are coming to Parintins and want the option to relax, the place is Cantagalo. You will be able to enjoy the scenery, the beautiful sunset, and take a boat ride. All of this with a full menu, with bar and restaurant service, available to the client," said the administrator.
The opening hours of the complex are from 10am to 10pm.
Diving and water trail
Another option for those who want to escape the scorching heat of Parintins is the resort Toc Toclocated in the Parananema community. There, tourists can enjoy the refreshing water of the Parananema lake, and also venture out in bajaras (covered canoes) on water trails, with rides that last up to 50 minutes.
According to the manager of the Toc Toc restaurant, Gerson Mascarenha, visitors can also enjoy recreational fishing in the region's lake. All this with the support of the community itself. The opening hours are from 8am to 6pm.
"We offer this option for tourists who do not want to stay in the city center. Here, he will be able to dive, enjoy the landscape, and even practice ecotourism. The visitor will also be able to enjoy the regional cuisine and the presentations of Parintinense artists, playing the rhythm of the island", explained Gerson.
More options
Besides the suggestions mentioned above, the tourist has other resorts such as Fim da Ilhain Parananema. In the region of the Macurany lake, the visitor can visit the Buraco da Rosa, Regaço, and the end of Urucurituba street, in Palmares neighborhood. For those who prefer just to get to know the surroundings of the island, there are packages for the tour with exuberant scenery surrounding Parintins.
Starting in September, the hiker will encounter the paradisiacal beaches of the Uaicurapá region, with the beaches of Varre Vento, Itaracuera, which are bathed by the black and crystalline water rivers, Mamurú and Uaicurapá.
