This Wednesday (7/8), the Johnny Jack Mesclado performs a show in celebration of the band's 20 years to open the programming of the project Tacacá na Bossa in August, starting at 8 pm, at São Sebastião Square. Access is free.
According to vocalist and guitarist Tennessee Nogueira, the show will remember the hits that were part of the band's history.
"This year we are celebrating 20 years, so we will play songs from all times of the band. We are very happy to be two decades active, and to be able to perform in places like this, open, is also an opportunity to reach new audiences, people who may not know the band, so we like it a lot", he declares.
Also, according to Tennessee, the pre-show will be performed by the band Nossas Raízes, and Johnny Jack's show will have the participation of musician Daniel D' Araújo, from the band Amazion. The August agenda also features shows by Lucinha Cabral, from the "Elas Cantam Samba" project, and the United Kingdom of Liberty Samba School.
Tacacá na Bossa" takes place every Wednesday, at Largo de São Sebastião, in the Historical Center of Manaus. In 2019, in its 14th edition, the project will have performances until December 11.
