Luneta Mágica Band
The Amazonian band Luneta Mágica, known for its psychedelic rock style, one of the revelations of local music, performs this Thursday (16), at Teatro da Instalação. The show has the support of the Government of Amazonas, through the State Secretariat of Culture.
More than sharing their music with fans, this Thursday's show will serve for the band to raise funds. This is because the band was invited to participate in the 2017 edition of the Psicodália Festival, in the city of Rio Negrinho, in Santa Catarina.
"It was a great joy for us, because we will have the opportunity to play with great names in Brazilian music, such as Erasmo Carlos, Ney Matogrosso, and Cátia de França," explains Alexandre Andrade, one of the components of Luneta Mágica.
The show will also count with the participation of singer Gil Valente, and will have a raffle for vinyls and cassette tapes containing remixes and songs from the album No Meu Peito of the band, released in 2016.
"Whoever attends our show and is raffled off will have the satisfaction of taking home a little bit of us, as well as helping us fulfill our dream, which is to make it to the festival," adds Alexandre.
The band
Luneta Mágica was founded in 2008 by Pablo Araújo and Chico Só, but stabilized in 2011, when it released its first demo, entitled Remédio pra Gripe. In August 2012, the band released the album Tomorrow Will Be the Best Day of Your Lifewhich made the band gain prominence in the regional and national scene.
After several tours through Brazil, in March 2016, Luneta Mágica released the album No Meu Peito, which gave even greater visibility for the Amazonians, allowing the band's participation in the program Mixed, of the BIS and PlayTV channels.
