Centec opens registrations for scholarship contest with up to 100% discount

The Center for Technical Education (Centec) opened registration for the 2019 Scholarship Contest, with opportunities for discounts of up to 100% for all technical and auxiliary courses offered by the institution, which has just completed ten years.

The selection process continues with registrations until the next day July 11, at the headquarters of Centec, located on Avenida Djalma Batista, 464, São Geraldo. "The registration is solidary, that is, the student only needs to bring one kilo of non-perishable food (except salt and sugar) and fill out the registration form completely (without erasures)," explains the school's marketing coordinator, Driele Cazumba. According to her, the exams for the Scholarship Contest are scheduled for July 14th, at 9:30am, also at Centec's headquarters. There will be 100% scholarships for the first three places in the morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. 50% for the fourth and fifth, also in the three shifts, and 15% for all those who are approved until the last place.

Students from public and private schools who have finished or are finishing high school can apply for the scholarships. Candidates who finish high school before the end of the vocational course can also apply, they just need to prove the information by means of an academic statement. Tests

The exam of the Centec Scholarship Competition will have 40 objective and multiple choice questions, being 15 questions of Portuguese Language, 15 questions of Mathematics and 10 questions of General Knowledge. The results will be announced on July 16, at the test site, on social networks and on the institution's website. Enrollment starts on the same day and runs until July 31. The new classes will start on August 5, 2019.

With a strong performance in the professional education market, Centec offers more than 23 technical and auxiliary courses in the areas of Management and Business, Environment and Health, Infrastructure, Safety, Industrial Control and Process, and Industrial Production. This year, in celebration of the school's ten years, all are on offer in the Scholarship Contest.

"Our intention is to benefit young people who have no income and are looking for an opportunity for professional training with the possibility of rapid insertion into the labor market," says Centec's Educational Director, Eliana Pinheiro.

The educator points out that, many times, the student who is awarded the scholarship for the technical course is the first in the family to have access to a professional qualification, which opens doors that end up transforming their lives in a very positive way.

The Scholarship Competition is part of the Centec Social program, which seeks to develop actions that collaborate with society. In this context, the non-perishable food collected with the action will be donated to the group Auxiliares do Bem, which develops several social projects in the city.
