O Cultural Center of the Peoples of the Amazon (CCPA) and the Provincial Palacespaces administered by the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), will hold cultural events allusive to the celebration of Easter, with free admission and programming for the whole family.
Next Saturday (13/4), from 9am to 8pm, at the Centro Cultural dos Povos da Amazônia (Av. Silves, 2.222, Distrito Industrial), the "Easter on Wheels" takes place, an event with a program for children and adults, and the collection of chocolates that will be donated to entities that take care of needy children and those at risk.
In the program there will be an exhibition of high-cylinder motorcycles in the hall of the CCPA, with Danka Moto Show; visits to the cultural center's exhibitions; exhibition of Easter-themed cartoons; activities from the project "It's time to play", from the SEC's Pedagogical Center; workshops on children's dancing and bunny masks; and a performance by the band Berserkers Viking Riders. Admission will be free. Donation of a box of chocolate optional.
Music, theater and dance
At Palacete Provincial (Praça Heliodoro Balbi, s/nº, Centro), on Tuesday (4/16), at 2pm, the Ministério de Arte Cênicas (Meart) group will present the show "O lugar que eu quero morar", an Easter special.

The play - which mixes music, dance, and theater - portrays the search for a better place to live through the story of a humble, dreamy, and adventurous girl, who takes the audience on a journey of dreams until, in the middle of the stage, an inspiration appears. The cast includes Fábio Sousa (Juquinha), Thailla Alvarez (Sonequinha), Raphael Godeau (Little Maicon), Adria Giovana (Zolhão), Sophia Evellyn (Narizinho), and Luciana Oliveira (Goiabinha).
On the occasion, Meart will also organize several games for the children. Admission will be free.
Passion of Christ
The staging of the Passion of the Christ is also on the program. On Wednesday, April 24th, starting at 5:30pm, the Cultural Center of the Amazon Peoples, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Manaus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, will perform the show "Passion of Christ: From the Cross to the Victory of Life with Law and Justice". Admission will be free.
The show unites theater, music, and dance to portray Jesus' path to Calvary. The cast is composed of 48 people and is directed by Frank Brandão.
