Receptive Tourist Center is installed in Serra da Valéria in Parintins

The Reception Center is a 96m² building equipped with a lounge, three bathrooms (male, female and another for PCD), service kiosk, snack bar and handicraft room.

The Government of Amazonas installed Serra da Valérialocated in the municipality of Parintins (369 kilometers east of Manaus), a River Tourist Reception Center (CRFT). The initiative coordinated by the Management Amazonino Mendes, through the State Tourism Company (Amazonastur), It was announced in February this year as part of the project to improve the tourism infrastructure of the site that is the stop of the cruise liners arriving in the state during the cruise seasons.

According to data from the Parintins Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism, at least 4.5 thousand tourists visit the Serra da Valéria during the cruise season. "It is a very expressive number of tourists, which is why the governor ordered the delivery of a new CRFT for the site. Our proposal is to improve the quality of service to visitors and promote the development of community tourism that is the main source of income for families who live in the Sierra, "said the president of Amazonastur, Orsine Junior.

The Reception Center is a building with 96m² and is equipped with lounge, three bathrooms being, a male, a female and another for people with disabilities, service kiosk, snack bar and craft room. The Amazonas Government project of infrastructure for the community also foresees the construction of a belvedere and a museum to preserve the archeological site of the mountain.

Attractive

Located on the border between the states of Amazonas and Pará, in the highest region of the municipality of Parintins, the Serra da Valéria is 152 meters high. The place became world famous due to the local presence of indigenous archeological remains, which appeared due to erosion. Some artifacts are exposed in the open air, others can be seen in a small museum built on the site.
