Chico da Silva opens the May programme of 'Tacacá na Bossa

The repertoire will consist of the Amazonian singer-songwriter's sambas, including "Pandeiro é meu nome," "Sufoco," "É preciso muito amor," "Tempo bom" and "Tudo mudou."

In May, the "Tacacá na Bossa" will present will present a very varied program to move Wednesday nights at the Largo de São Sebastião. Largo de São Sebastiãoin the Historical Center of Manaus. "We chose Chico da Silva for the Labor Day holiday as a way to honor him, since Chico is an icon of our city,'' says Joaquim Melo, the project's director. Right after Chico's show, Banda Maluka will take the stage with more samba.

Pop rock, MPB, forró and other musical styles are also on the "Tacacá na Bossa" program in May. On the 8th, the public can enjoy the band Official 80that will perform a pop rock presentation, with classics from the 1980s.

On the 15th, James Rios will take his project "Meu Jeito" to the stage, which features sambas produced with the artist's own sound concept. He will also present varied music, such as MPB, forró, and afro.

On the 22nd, the Largo de São Sebastião will be the stage for Levy Jardimthe musician who comes directly from São Paulo to perform in the capital. Levy will sing his own MPB songs and a bit of flamenco music. He will open the evening at 7pm; at 8pm, Antônio Pereira will enter playing the violeiro.

Levy Jardim highlights that it is very important to promote this kind of event and make the artists be recognized, which is the purpose of the "Tacacá na Bossa" project. "It is sensational this support to bring the public closer to artists and musicians who don't have much space, especially to play in the square, in the city's postcard".

To end the programming for the month of May, on the 29th there will be Nunes Filho e Márcia Novo. The Prince of Brega will perform at 7 pm, and then Márcia Novo will take the stage, bringing a repertoire with a lot of technobrega and boi-bumbá.

The "Tacacá na Bossa" always takes place on Wednesdays, starting at 7pm, at Largo de São Sebastião. In 2019, the project, which is in its 14th edition, will have programming until December 11, always with free access.
