This Friday (02/8) and Saturday (03/8), the Cineteatro Guarany (Vila Ninita, attached to Rio Negro PalaceAvenida Sete de Setembro, 1746, Center), holds free screenings with horror films and science fiction. The program is held by the State Secretary of Culture (SEC).
At 19h this Friday will be shown the film "The House of the Last Crywith rating for 14 years. Written and directed by Dina Silva, the film, produced by Tony Filmes, tells the story of Paulo and Ana, who move, with their daughter Clara, to a new house. Strange things begin to happen involving the property's dark past, but with the arrival of medium Lúcia, the mystery of the place begins to be unraveled.
The cast includes Douglas Castro, Mayana Lima, Dayany Marialva, Dina Silva, Rafael Graffiti, Bia Bittencourt, Débora Tavares, and Larissa Mesquita. The film will also be shown at the Gebes Medeiros Theater, on August 13, also at 7pm.
On Saturday, at 18h, the project Mostra de Cineastas Amazonenses, will be shown the film "The Unidentified Visitor: Revelationsby Juan Lopes, rated 12 years.
The feature is science fiction, recorded and edited with a cell phone - the method used by Lopes to produce his films. The film, made independently, tells the adventure of Júlia, whose mother is missing. As she goes in search of the truth, the character faces an alien threat and puts her own life in danger.
The cast is made up of actors who are new to the theater, and others with extensive experience in the theater scene in Manaus. The play explores science fiction horror, but also uses other narrative elements, stimulating different reactions in the audience.
