The dance company Art Without Borders begins, starting on May 11th, a new class of dancers, with the objective of promoting cultural and artistic formation for children. Children from 7 to 12 years old can take the classes. Ballet, jazz, contemporary dance and popular dances will be the modalities offered by the group.
The students participating in the project can take the classes at the Nilton Lins Academy, located at 3259 Nilton Lins Avenue, Flores district, Manaus' South-Central zone, every Saturday, from 2 PM to 6 PM. The teacher Thaysson Castro will be responsible for teaching the course.
"Those who wish to participate in the company need to have good grades and a good performance at school, besides having a great desire to learn the art of dance. It is also necessary that the parents are participative with their children's evolution in all the classes", emphasizes choreographer Wilson Junior, founder of Art Without Borders.
Besides teacher Thaysson, the classes will also feature the company's adult cast and special guests. The project is the result of a partnership with Nilton Lins University. For more information, contact (92) 98130-6571 or 98208-4956.
"I have seen children who have lost weight thanks to the dance, and of course, they become more disciplined and start to learn a lot. Besides the artistic contribution, we also help in the children's human development," says Wilson about the benefits of dance.
