World-renowned dance company makes a unique presentation at Teatro Amazonas

A world reference when it comes to dance, Böhâmia Danse Quartett unites classical and contemporary ballet to express movements of strength and great sensitivity.

Magic in the form of dance. One of the most prestigious companies in the world, the Böhâmia Danse Quartettfrom Frankfurt, Germany, promises to enchant the audience at the Teatro Amazonas Theateron August 2, at 8pm, in a single performance of its Live on Tour 2019/2020.

With 4 emblematic and completely different pieces, the show Live on Tour promises to draw the audience's breath away with the magical emotion of spiritual dance. A world reference when it comes to dance, Böhâmia Danse Quartett unites classical and contemporary ballet to express movements of strength and great sensitivity.

Led by the famous director Héctor Böhâmia, an Argentinean naturalized German, the dance company is on tour throughout Latin America and will be in Brazil with its Quartett for a short season. The contemporary slant is a characteristic of this multifaceted artist who, besides being a choreographer, is a scriptwriter, a régie, and a doctor in Literature and Philosophy.

"There are great dancers (in Brazil), there are great professionals, but there is a lack of study and critical thinking in their work, which would guarantee more possibilities for entrepreneurship," says the dancer, remembering that dance is not only about movement. "Dance is essentially research, investigation. Even more, dance needs to be more visceral and less visual. I am an artist of the viscera. To transgress you have to study and above all build your own personality," he declared.

From July 2nd to August 4th, the Böhâmia Danse Quartett will be presented in the states of Goiás, Distrito Federal, Piauí, Maranhão, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Acre, Rondônia, Amapá, Roraima, Paraíba, Alagoas, Amazonas, and Pará.
