The show of the Balé Folclórico do Amazonas portrays how the religiosity of the riverside dwellers and the relationship with São Francisco interferes in fishing, in the actions of the women, and in the lives of the riverside children.
Staged by the 24 dancers that form the company, the piece is accompanied by a repertoire of songs by the Raízes Caboclas group. "It is a totally regional show, even in the scenic objects, because we will use gourds, oars, straw hats, among other props," says Magda Carvalho, Balé Folclórico's assistant director.
"Just like the others, this presentation also offers the public a knowledge of the stories that guide us and the legends that are part of our local culture," adds Magda.
The indicative rating of "Messengers of Francisco" is free.

The intention of trying to make the public reflect about the future and the threatened culture of the indigenous people was the inspiration for "Mata'', by choreographer Clébio Oliveira.
The presentation of the Corpo de Dança do Amazonas (CDA) suggests moments of tension and conflict. The indicative rating is 14 years old.
According to Getúlio Lima, the show's director, the performance demands a lot technically and artistically from each dancer. "It is always a great satisfaction to put CDA on stage," he points out.

Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, John Coltrane, Bob Mintzer, Eddie Palmieri are Jazz composers who will be celebrated in the concert "Jazz, Blues, Mainstream, Cool, Bop, Fusion", which will be presented on Thursday (06/06), at 8 pm.
According to maestro Rui Carvalho, titular conductor of the Amazonas Band, this is the first time that a concert is expected to expand the audience's knowledge of jazz.
"It's not a tribute to jazz, but in a way, a tribute to the composers present in the program," explains the conductor.
The concert is free.
