Starting next Sunday (11/10), the Gebes Medeiros Theater (Ideal Clube, at Av. Eduardo Ribeiro, 937, Centro) will become a meeting point for fans of music produced in Amazonas. O 'Authoral Sundaywill happen every Sunday at 19h, with free admission. The program continues until December 29th, and the first attraction is the sambista Júnior Rodrigueswith the participation of Pedrinho da Lapa.
The initiative has the proposal of forming audiences so that local artists can promote their repertoire, according to Celdo Braga, who idealized the project with Nícolas Júnior.
"Nícolas had the initial idea and contacted me. We took it to the Secretary, who embraced the project, which aims to value what is produced here in terms of authorship. The initial idea is to have a traditional spot where people get to know that every Sunday there will be an artist from the region showing his work to the public, besides offering a space for those who are starting out, supporting those who want to launch themselves in the market," he says.
Domingo Autoral starts this Sunday, with a varied repertoire by Júnior Rodrigues. "I will sing 20 songs, 13 of which have never been recorded, including a xote ("Branca") and a waltz ("Valsando pra Nina"), which I wrote in honor of my daughter," says the singer.
Júnior will be accompanied by Dudu Brasil (7-string guitar), Aécio Bezerra (flute and sax), Cláudio Nunes (cavaquinho), Fred Teixeira (drums), Kayro Bamba (pandeiro) and Mestre Gordinho (surdo).
As a guest, he chose Pedrinho da Lapa, well known in the samba circles of Manaus, who will perform his first show in a theater, at the age of 80. "He is a very active samba player, although he has never stepped on stage in a theater. It will be wonderful to have him in the opening of Domingo Autoral", praises Júnior.
With more than 40 of his own compositions, Pedrinho da Lapa says he moves through several styles, such as samba-canção, bolero, and marchinhas. "I really like samba, singing with percussion, and singing in rodas with friends. I have the best expectations for this show in the theater," he reveals.
With Júnior Rodrigues, Pedrinho will perform "Mangueira é Brasil" and "Samba da Academia". "My songs speak to the heart. I hope the public likes them", he concludes.
The next editions of Domingo Autoral will have Nícolas Júnior (11/17), Ketlen Nascimento (11/24), Roberto Lima (12/1), Fátima Silva (12/08), Márcia Siqueira (12/15), Cileno (12/22), and Celdo Braga (12/29).
