The Para singer and songwriter Dona Onete, the diva of carimbó "chamegado" that mixes brega, bolero and samba, was announced as the national attraction of the Virada Sustentável Manaus 2019the largest sustainability festival in Latin America, which will take place on July 26, 27 and 28 with hundreds of free activities in all areas of Manaus. The official program of the event was launched today, at Mindu Park.
This will be the first time that the Sustainable Turn will have a national attraction. Dona Onete's show promises to bring together fans of the artist in a presentation focused on her latest album, "Rebujo".
The proposal of Virada Sustentável Manaus is to increase society's engagement for the improvement of the city, using playful and inspiring activities as a tool. More than 800 volunteers will be involved in the mobilization.

Among the news announced is the inclusion of another day in the festival schedule, previously held over a weekend. "We added Friday as a day dedicated to the dissemination of content, with the realization of activities such as lectures, debates, conversation circles, film screenings, among others", explained the coordinator of Sustainable Turn Manaus, Paula Gabriel.
Another highlight of this edition will be the opening of the festival, scheduled for July 25, at Largo de São Sebastiãowith a presentation by the Amazonas Jazz Band. "We have always held the opening at the Amazonas Theater, but, due to space limitations, we decided to take the event to the Largo, guaranteeing that more people can participate and have access to the show", said Paula.
Besides the Largo São Sebastião, the Sustainable Turn will have stage with shows and free presentations in the Mount of Olives, Redemption, Bosque gives Science and Shopping Manaus Via Norte.
To integrate the cultural program, applications are open for artists with projects that fit the modalities of theater, dance, translation into pounds, music, graffiti, performing arts and graphic arts. Each proponent can register individually or in groups, until June 10, on the site.
The public notice is also open to workshops, speakers, organizations, foundations, movements, collectives, schools, colleges, and cultural equipment that develop initiatives related to at least one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN).
