Contemplated by the Manaus Prize for Cultural Connections 2018, of the Manaus City Hall, the project "Elas na Cena" will promote this Friday, 23/8, and Saturday, 24/8, a series of activities focused on hip-hop. The programming will take place at Largo de São SebastiãoCenter, and is free of charge.
On Friday, 23rd, the first intervention will take place at 5pm, with a workshop that will address the four elements of hip-hop, with b-girl Rayara Bernardes. Then, at 6 pm, the graffiti artist Kina will give a talk and perform graffiti.
Starting at 7 pm, the show "4 Elementos Elas na Cena" will start. DJ Pãmmy will perform the soundtrack, MC Catarina will present her lyrics with emphasis on life and customs of the northerners. The b-girls Rayara Bernardes and Lany Borges will make individual and group presentations, and graffiti artist Kina will show the Amazon landscapes in her graffiti.
Saturday
On 8/24, starting at 5pm, besides the artists from "Elas na Cena", there will be guests like DJ Marcos Tubarão, MC Pedro Renan and dancer Beatriz Gonçalves.
According to the project's creator, Idevan Santos, DJ Carapanã, the event's proposal is to highlight the importance of women in the hip-hop and rap scene, as well as in art in general.
