O Emporium Roma promotes this Sunday (9/15) a vegan cooking workshop with chef Edinelza Araújo and nutritionist Daniele Aragão. During the training, participants will learn to prepare four recipes, all without animal ingredients, milk, egg and gluten.
Registration for the workshop, which runs from 8am to 11:30am, are open and can be made at Emporium Roma, located on Terezina Street, 351, Adrianópolis neighborhood. Those enrolled will receive a kit with a workbook and an apron.
Among the dishes are jackfruit meat salpicão, lasagna bolognese, palm heart pie, and prestige cake. Besides the preparation of the recipes, the participants can ask questions about vegan food and how to replace animal ingredients.
According to chef Edinelza Araújo, owner of the Sabor Natural restaurant, first in this segment in the city, sustainability and the search for a healthier life have made more people look for vegan food options. "Unfortunately, there are no surveys showing the number of vegan people in the country, but it is noticeable the growth of this public. Veganism is a lifestyle in which people are concerned with the entire production chain of the food they consume", she emphasized.
The workshop proposal, she says, is to show that it is possible to have healthy and tasty food using creativity to replace animal ingredients.
