In celebration of the World Tourism DayDay, Municipal Tourism Day and National Day of the Bachelor of Tourism, the Amazonas Theater, o the Jungle Warfare Instruction Center Zoo (Cigs), o Museum of the Indian and the Science Forest will be open to the public with free admission this Friday, 9/27, from 9am to 5pm.
At Teatro Amazonas, guided tours take place every half hour. Located in the Largo de São Sebastiãothe theater is a landmark of the Rubber Cycle and was inaugurated in 1896.
The history of the Upper Rio Negro Indians is on display at the Museu do Índio (Indian Museum). In six rooms, ancient pieces, ceramics, musical instruments such as the maraca, arrows, oars, canoes, hammocks, weaving and baskets are some of the museum's highlights. The space is located at 356 Duque de Caxias Street, Downtown.
Completing the free visitation circuit, the Bosque da Ciência, located at the National Institute for Amazon Research (Inpa), at Bem Te Vi avenue (formerly Otávio Cabral street), s/nº, Petrópolis, houses forest vegetation and animals of the Amazon fauna. Finally, the zoo at Cigs will also have its doors open, at 750 São Jorge Avenue, São Jorge. There it is possible to see animals like the jaguar, the toucan, and the blue macaw, among others, up close.

Still in the celebrations of the Tourism Day, also on Friday, 27/9, the Theater Nucleus of the Claudio Santoro High School of Arts and Crafts, of the State Secretariat of Culture of Amazonas (SEC), will perform the musical show "Julieu and Romieta"..
The cast includes the participation of young revelations of Amazonian music, such as Lorenzo Fortes and Raylla Araújo. The special presentation takes place at 6pm, at Teatro Amazonas, Centro, with free admission.
Choirs
Right after that, at 7pm, the Installation Theaterlocated at Frei José dos Inocentes street, s/nº, Center, will host another choir presentation from the Amazonas Choirs Festival (Famcor).
This time, the choirs of the Amazonas State Legislative Assembly (Aleam), Instituto Cultural Brasil-Estados Unidos (ICBEU Manaus), Coral Messiânico da Igreja Manaus, and Grupo Vocal dos Corpos Artísticos are participating.
Tourism Week
Gathering a diverse program aimed at students and professionals in the tourism segment, the Tourism Week is held annually by the Manaus City Hall, and celebrates the World Tourism Day, the Municipal Tourism Day, and the National Day of the Tourism Bachelor.
