This Saturday (May 4), at 6:30pm, the Cultural Center Usina Chaminé receives the puppet theater show "Lily's Strange Family".. The performance has free admission.
To propose a reflection on the universe of fantasy through a family that is outside society's aesthetic standards. This is the main purpose of the show, which is based on the work of filmmaker Tim Burton. The plot tells the story of the girl Lily who, after arriving in the bosom of the family, awakens dark feelings in each of the members of the group.
According to the show's director, Hely Pinto, through expressionism, symbolism, and realism, the play provides a look at the other, at life, love, and death, instigating the audience to realize the alienation imposed by society's standards. He guarantees a different show.
"We entered the rehearsal process more than two months ago, with an intense preparation so that the audience receives this delivery, as well as the message of the show itself. It is a show that is different from what is often seen, fully portraying reality," he says.
Lily's Strange Family" will be performed again on Saturday, May 11, at 6 pm, also at the Chimney Plant. The rating is 8 years old.
