Campaign consists of several activities, with the participation of students, employees and volunteers, offering services to help people and communities.
The students from UniNorte participate this month in the campaign Global Days Servicespromoted by the international network of Laureate universities, of which the institution is part. On the 18th, 20th and 27th of this month, students from various courses will be offering health services and performing cultural activities in the city's neighborhoods.
The Global Days Services consists of several activities, with the participation of students, collaborators and volunteers, offering services to help people and communities. This action also serves to stimulate volunteer work and social responsibility during all the other days of the year.
On the 18th, students from the Esthetics, Nursing, Pharmacy, Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Biomedicine, Dentistry, Nutrition, Physical Education, Psychology, Veterinary Medicine and Social Work courses from UniNorte will be offering health services at Casa do Frei, located at Frei José dos Inocentes Street, downtown. Among the services offered are blood pressure measurement, blood glucose checks, oral health guidance, nutrition and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, posture evaluation, hearing, parasitological tests and veterinary care.
On the 20th, the Global Days Service actions will be held at Prosamim, on Ipixuna Street. At the site, a series of cultural and educational activities will be carried out by the School of Business and Hospitality. Children will be able to participate in games, reading groups, mathematical knowledge and regional culture competitions, and canvas painting workshops. The program will also include guidance activities about selective garbage collection, the importance of hygiene, and healthy eating.
Also as part of the Global Days Services program, on the 27th, another edition of the Motirõ da Saúde, a project by UniNorte, will take place. This time, the project will be held in the sports court of the Santo Antonio Church. There, health care will be offered to the 35 Venezuelan immigrants who live in the João Batista Scalabrini Shelter and to the community in general. All courses will be involved in the action.
