It is on display, at the Center for the Arts of the Federal University of Amazonas (Cauaua)the exhibition Abstract: shapes and colorswhich brings together important visual artists of today's Amazon. The exhibition runs until April 30, with free admission. Cauaua is located at Rua Monsenhor Coutinho, 724, Centro, with visiting hours from 8am to 12pm and from 2pm to 4:30pm, from Monday to Friday.
Comprised of 14 canvases from the Visual Arts Collection at the Arts Center, the exhibition is a display of works by artists from Amazonas, such as Bernadete Andrade, Homero Amazonas, Eli Barcelar, Turenko Beça, Eduelson, among others.
The set of paintings is related to lyrical or geometric abstract art. In these works, the artists' ideas and feelings are expressed through stains, lines, and colors that allow the visitor different feelings and interpretations.
Recently organized and documented, the exhibition 'Abstract: Colors and Forms' is another opportunity to divulge and highlight the importance of Caua's Visual Arts Collection for the understanding of the artistic production in Amazonia. It is worth mentioning that the collection is already in condition and available for students, researchers, and the general public to carry out their investigations.
