Adoption fair and cosplay contest, for pets, are attractions at Millennium

This Saturday (20/7) happens the adoption fair and the cosplay contest for pets, in addition, customers can contribute to the work of NGOs partners of the event, donating feed and cleaning products

This Saturday (20), celebrates the Friend's Day and, to celebrate the date, the Millennium Shopping holds a free program with several activities for the pet-loving public.

In a space located next to the Claro store there will be an adoption fair and a cosplay contest for pets, and customers can also contribute to the work of the event's partner NGOs by donating pet food and cleaning products. The meeting Friends Day #aniMILL will take place from 3 pm to 7 pm and will also include a photo-taking space and a conversation circle.

About a year ago, the enterprise became petfriendly, and small and medium-sized dogs and cats are allowed. The rules for access will be available at the mall's entrance gates and on the website of the shopping center.

In partnership with the Portal dos Anjos Manaus Association (Apam), the event will feature a dog and cat adoption fair. All already castrated, dewormed and vaccinated. "To adopt, those interested must be over 18 years old and will go through a registration, an interview and during the week we will visit the house where the animal will live," said the president of Apam, Janaina Bandeira.

The goal is to encourage responsible ownership and to find out what the family expects from the animal, what the routine is like, the dynamics of the house, and also to explain the care and responsibilities that raising an animal implies. These measures help the association to reduce the number of animals returned in impulse adoptions.

Another attraction of the event will be the cosplay contest, where pet guardians can take their pets dressed as characters from comic books, superheroes, anime, movies, and games. The two best characterizations will win prizes. There will also be the EspaçoApataço, where the #aniMILL Friend's Day audience can take fun pictures with their pets.

In partnership with the project Pet Therapy Loyal Friend and the NGO Street Angels Manaus there will be a round of conversation that will bring together influencers and animal protectors. The meeting will address several issues, including first aid tips and help for pets at risk, conscious and responsible adoption, support and responsibility practices for street animals, reintegration and mobility actions for injured pets, and pet therapy initiatives that suggest the involvement of the pet's relationship in the assisted treatment of people with depressive disorders.
