Amazon Choral Festival animates third Sunday of the Open Doors Academy

The Festival, in its 4th edition, will have the Amazon Academy of Letters as the stage for its realization this Sunday (29).

The program Open Doors Academyof the Academy of Lettersreaches its third Sunday, this September 29th, and includes the Festival Amazonas de Corais - FAMCOR as part of the attractions.

The partnership opens the Adriano Jorge House to the Amazonas Choir, Cosmos Choir, Manaus City Council Choir, and the Alliance Française de Manaus Choir.

Under the artistic direction of Fabiano Cardoso, the Festival Amazonas de Corais is a non-competitive event, which counts on the presentation of several choirs. Besides the artistic program, FAMCOR promotes the qualification of the participating artists through workshops.

Besides the choir presentations, the Open Doors Academy program also includes a musical presentation by Débora Batista e Timóteo Esteveswith a string duo.

Long-time friends, Débora and Timóteo play together in duos, trios, quartets, and orchestras. Both develop intense musical activity in the city and abroad. Be it as performers, educators, or musical production.

The repertoire chosen by the duo for the program is eclectic, ranging from classical to contemporary, and includes a duet recently composed by Timóteo that will be presented for the first time in this concert.

The day of activities also includes Guided Tour, Literary Sarau and Academic Lecture, where an immortal of the Academy presents an important theme about Adriano Jorge's House, approaching the city of Manaus in honor of its 350 years.

The special program Open Doors Academy started on September 15th and will be held every Sunday until December 15th. The entire program is free, starting at 5:30pm and closing at 8pm. The Academia Amazonense de Letras is located at Rua Ramos Ferreira, corner with Tapajós, 1009 - Center.
