Fetam announces shows for the 13ª Amazonas Theater Festival

This year the event will happenáfrom June 6 to 9, at Les Artistes Café Teatro, and countáwith the presentationção of eight local spectacles.

A Federação de Teatro do Amazonas (Fetam) divulges the list of selected shows to compose the programção of the 13ª Amazonas Theater Showwhich this year has the support of the Manaus City Hall and the Government of Amazonas. The event will take place from 6 to 9/6, with shows at two different times àat 10am and 8pm, at Les Artistes Café Theaterin the historic center of Manaus. In all, eight shows of local groups and artists were approved.

The curatorship of the event was done by the president of Fetam, Tércio Silva, who works in the city as artistic director and cultural producer, and Wallace Abreu, actor and artistic director from Amazonas. For Wallace, the show will present to the public a mix of companies and artists already established in the city and a new generation of artists who are emerging on the local scene.

"Itá possible to observe the renewal of the theatrical art scene in the state, through projects presented by groups and artists from the Bachelorçã o in Theatre, offered by the State University of Amazonas, and also contemplate the work of directors and actors who already have several decades of theatrical experiences in the Amazon, "he points out.

According to Tércio, this year the event marks the 40th anniversary of the entity. "This is a commemorative edition, which marks forty years of uninterrupted activities of Fetam, which is the representative entity of the theatrical art class. In addition to the presentationção of the selected shows we will also have book launches, workshops and tributes to great names in the Amazon theater, "points Tércio.

Plays

In the Children's category, the selected plays were: "Algodão Doce"by Cia Arte em Movimento Zona Cultural; "Interditado" (Interdicted)by Karine Magalhães; "O Palhaço de La Mancha" (The Straw of La Mancha)by Cacompanhia de Artes Cênicas; and, as alternate, the show "Menino TK" ("TK Boy")by Grupo Jurubebas de Teatro.

Já in the Adult category, the selection contemplated the following spectacles: "Ambrozhya and the Phantasms of Art"by Cia de Teatro Apareceu a Margarida; "Caminhão a Galope" ("Galloping Walk"), from Panorando Produções; "Helena"from Ateliê 23; "Quantas Histórias Habitam Suas Memórias"by Espatódea Trupe; "Quarto Azul" (Blue Room)by Grupo Jurubebas de Teatro; and, as a substitute, the spectacle "Fim de Partida" (End of Departure)by Coletivo Experimental de Teatralidades.
