Representatives from various historical entities meet to discuss the erasure of memory.

O Geographic and Historical Institute of Amazonas will hold on November 28th, 29th and 30th the Cycle of Lectures of the IGHAwith the theme The Erasing of Memoryat its headquarters at Rua Bernardo Ramos, 117, in the Historical Center of Manaus.
The entire program is open to the public and includes lectures and plenary sessions led by IGHA members and guests.
On the first day of the program (28th), right after the official opening presided over by José dos Santos Pereira Braga, at 8pm, the public will be able to watch the conference The Dememory in Amazonas given by Robério dos Santos Pereira Braga, former president of IGHA and current president of the Academia Amazonense de Letras. The evening will then end with a musical performance by Giovanny Conte, violinist from the Amazonas Philharmonic, and a cocktail party.
On the 29th (Friday) the activities start at 8am and on the 30th (Saturday) from 9:30am with panels and debates presented by representatives of various historical and geographical entities of the country.
Representatives of the Instituto Geográfico e Histórico de Tapajós, Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de Pernambuco, Instituto Histórico e Geográfico do Pará, as well as representatives of the Universidade Federal do Amazonas, Technical Department of the State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, Fundação Universidade Aberta da Terceira Idade, Amazonas Public Archive and Instituto Geográfico e Histórico do Amazonas.
On Friday (29), at 18h, also occurs within the program the launch of the book [About] Experiences on the streets of Manaus - Stories, living conditions and health policies, authored by Dr. Rosiane Pinheiro Palheta (org), MSc. Raquel Lira de Oliveira and Esp. Jacqueline Cavalcanti Lima, with a visit to the museum and tasting the traditional Tacacá of Gisela.
The general coordination of the event is the responsibility of the Board of the Geographic and Historical Institute of Amazonas, with organization by Marilene Corrêa, Edineia Mascarenhas Dias and Rosa Mendonça de Brito. The event is sponsored by the Amazonas State Foundation for Research Support - Fapeam and supported by the State Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy and the Open University of the Third Age Foundation.
