Registration open for the sixth edition of the 'Water Race

The Water Race 2019 will be contested in the following categories, male and female: General, Literatus Employees, Special Cadeirante, Special Visual and Above 60 years.

The Literatus Center (CEL) announces that registration is open for the 6th edition of the "Water Race 2019 - Challenge Your Limits", which will be held on March 24, at 7am, and should bring together one thousand five hundred amateur and professional athletes. The competition aims to encourage the practice of sports for a healthier life and to raise awareness about the importance of saving and preserving water resources, in addition to celebrating the 28th anniversary of the CEL. The Water Race 2019 will be disputed in the following categories, male and female: General, Literatus Employees, Wheelchair Special, Visual Special, and Over 60. "The competition has already consolidated itself in the Amazonian runner's calendar and, each year, we have been surprised by the performance of the participants, including those who have participated since the first edition. We are proud to be part of the change in so many people's lifestyles", highlighted CEL's keeper, Elaine Saldanha.

There will be two course options 5.3km and 10.6km, and the race start will take place on Ituxi street, next to the square Domingos Russo, in Vieiralves. The Water Race participants will run along Djalma Batista, Darcy Vargas, Maceió, João Valério streets and return to the square. The winners - first, second, and third place in each category - will be awarded trophies. From fourth place on, runners will receive a participation medal.

The registration fee is R$ 60 (plus administrative fee) for the general public, but for groups of 20 or more athletes from the same company, agency or union, the registration fee will be R$ 55, and can only be made in person, with a photocopy of the functional badge and identification document with photo, at the CEL unit located at Avenida Paraíba, 965 - Adrianópolis, from Monday to Friday, from 8am to 20h.

The registered athletes will receive the event's kit at the CEL on Paraíba Avenue on March 21, 22 (from 8am to 8pm) and 23 (from 8am to noon). Each kit contains a nylon backpack, T-shirt, 550ml plastic squeeze, face towel, a microfiber visor, and an identification number, which is personal and non-transferable, and may not be altered or erased. In addition, the competitor will receive three coupons that must be used to collect the fruit kit and the chip, and also for the locker service.
