From this Monday, 12/11, are open enrollments for the selection process of the University Grant Program (PBU)of Manaus Prefecture, for access in 2019, on the site of Espi Portal.
Launched last Friday, 9, by the mayor of Manaus, Arthur Virgílio Neto, the public notice makes available 28,329 full (100%) and partial (75% and 50%) scholarships in undergraduate courses for low-income students.
The program is coordinated by the School of Municipal Public Service and Socio-Educational Inclusion (Espi)which is linked to the Municipal Administration, Planning and Management Secretariat (Semad).
According to the director-general of Espi, Stela Cyrino, exclusively via Internet, registration begins at 8:00 am this Monday, November 12, and runs until 9:00 am next day, November 26. "It is important that the candidate read the announcement carefully to avoid problems with online registration," she says.

To participate in the selection process, the candidate must be Brazilian, born or naturalized, resident in Manaus, with per capita family income (per family member) not exceeding one and a half minimum wage, and be regularly enrolled or able to enroll in one of the higher education institutions (HEI) partners of the Program.
The candidate must also have completed high school or equivalent (or finish by 12/31/2018) and not hold a college degree or be enrolled in a public HEI. In addition, beneficiaries of undergraduate programs maintained by public authorities or the private sector are not eligible.
In this edition, 14 IES were accredited to offer scholarships: Centro Universitário de Ensino Superior do Amazonas (Ciesa), Centro Universitário Fametro, Centro Universitário Maurício de Nassau (Uninassau), Escola Superior Batista do Amazonas (Esbam), Faculdade Boas Novas (FBN), Faculdade Martha Falcão Wyden, Faculdade Salesiana Dom Bosco, Faculdade Santa Teresa, Fucapi, Instituto Amazônia de Ensino Superior (IAES), Materdei, Uninorte Laureate, Universidade Estácio de Sá and Universidade Nilton Lins.
