Jammil and One Nights is the main attraction of the Summer Festival of Maués 2018

O Maués Summer Festivalone of the biggest cultural events in the Amazon, happens on the next September 6, 7 and 8 at the Ponta da Maresia beach, one of the most beautiful in the city. The main attraction of this edition will be the axé band Jammil and One Nightthat promises to enchant the public with its dancing rhythm. The party will also feature a gastronomy fair and sports competitions of wakeboard, slackline and SUP and much more.

"We are very much looking forward to this year's Summer Festival. We want to show visitors the best that Maués has to offer! This event is not only entertainment, it is also an opportunity for income generation, with almost 100 entrepreneurs involved, and a showcase of what is best in our city," guarantees the mayor of Maués, Júnior Leite.

The 2018 edition brings new features. In addition to the competitions of volleyball, footvolley, soccer, penalty shots and swimming, there will be disputes ofwakeboard, slackline and SUP. All will have awards at the end of the tournament. Another novelty is the musical presentations held at sunset with the concept of "tardezinhas" or "sunsets". The Summer Muse, Visitor Girl, and Bronze Boy will also be chosen.

This year, about 15 thousand people are expected to have free access to more than 20 cultural attractions, local and national, with safety and tranquility. The public will also be able to taste the best of Maués' regional gastronomy at 25 food stands of local entrepreneurs.
