The journalist from Amazonas Agnaldo Oliveira Júnior was invited by Casa Literária publishing house to launch his book, about the 2014 World Cup in Manaus, at the Biennial Bookin Rio de Janeiro. The work is the result of three months of journalistic work, in which Agnaldo worked for the biggest sporting event on the planet, in the capital of Amazonas.
"I covered the international event for a national portal and produced more than a hundred articles. This material about the event, inside and outside the Arena, is told in the book "Relatos de uma Copa no Coração da Amazônia" (Accounts of a World Cup in the Heart of the Amazon)in 224 pages. This way, I was invited by Casa Literária publishing house to launch the book in the International Book Biennial of Rio de Janeiro, on September 7th, at RioCentro, at 6:30pm", said Agnaldo.
The journalist says he was surprised by the invitation and very happy. "I am very proud to represent my state and my capital Manaus, in the biggest literary event in the country".
About Agnaldo
Agnaldo Oliveira Júnior has a degree in Journalism from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), an Executive MBA in Marketing from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), a post-graduate degree in International Business Management from the Instituto de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa / Instituto Universidade de Lisboa - ISCTE/IUL, and a Master in International Business Management from ISCTE/Portugal. He was Director of Communications and Marketing for PMI/AM - Project Management Institute.
A journalist by training, he worked as a special reporter for Rede Amazônica, a Rede Globo affiliate in Manaus, was Journalism Manager for Amazonsat, also part of the Rede Amazônica group and founder and General Journalism Editor of Local TV.
He worked in the coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, as a correspondent of the Portal da Copa of the Ministry of Sports. Worked in the coverage of the 2016 Olympics, as a correspondent for LANCE, a Rio de Janeiro newspaper and portal.
He is the holder of several journalism awards, including: União pela Vida Journalism Award / Dom Bosco Medal, Twice Nilton Lins Journalism Award, twice Sebrae/AM Journalism Award, FAPEAM Scientific Journalism Award, Manaus Air Base Photography Award, and Honorary Member of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).
