Manaus Ágil tourism and culture of the AmazonConsidered great sources of musical talent, the fanfares will be in evidence on October 18, 19 and 10/20, in the VI Festival of Bands and Fanfares of Sesc AM. The program will include free workshops on the first two days and musical performances and group competitions in the Largo de São Sebastiãoon the last day.
The event has as its main focus spreading music among teenagers and young people. The proposal seeks to disseminate music as one of the greatest means of cultural artistic expression, through the presentation of the work of bands and fanfares from the public and private networks. The conductor and organizer of the event, Manuel Júnior, also emphasizes the importance of the project for society.
"We think that the event strengthens the musical segment in Amazonas, mainly in what concerns the strengthening of musical education, considering that 70% of the musicians working in the city come from bands and fanfares. It is a very important project", he said.
The activity promotes technical and healthy competition among the groups and contributes to the socialization of the groups involved. More than ten groups have already confirmed their participation, and other bands and fanfares interested in taking part in the festival can register via online form.
Workshops
The workshops will take place over two days at the Ufam Arts Center (Caua), located at 724 Monsenhor Coutinho Street, downtown. The first will address the "Audio post-production and will be taught by audio engineer Luciano Jeyson, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The second, on the other hand, whose theme is "Rudimentary percussion techniques", will be given by Marlon Moraes, from 4pm to 5:30pm. The registration form is also available to be filled out online.
