This Thursday, 4/6, the Les Artistes Café Teatroin the Historical Center of Manaus, will host the launch of the book "Communicational Looksby researchers from the Graduate Program in Communication Sciences (PPGCCOM) at the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam). The event will start at 7pm.
The collection was organized by professor Renan Albuquerque and by the doctoral candidates Noélio Martins Costa e Georgio Ítalo Oliveiraall from Ufam. There are 12 articles that deal with topics ranging from ecofeminism to issues related to religion, indigenous knowledge, media convergence, educommunication, folk communication and sustainable development. This set of subjects is interwoven within the PPGCCom's area of concentration, the Communication Ecosystems.
PPGCCOM 10 years
The work marks the ten years of existence of the first Master's degree course in Communication Sciences in the Amazon, which until June 2019 granted the title of master to 57 professionals. There are graduates among whom there are professionals working in newsrooms, consulting firms, and in teaching and research.
The preface was written by professor Edilene Mafra, from the School of Information and Communication (FIC) at Ufam and Uninorte. Edilene is specialized in science dissemination through radio journalism.
Launching
The launching program will have the presence of the PPGCCom's master's student, Maya Batista, and the president-director of the Fundação Televisão e Rádio Cultura do Amazonas (FUNTEC), Oswaldo Lopes Filho, who will compose a debate table about the communication in the Amazon nowadays. The musician from Amazonas and also a PPGCCom Master's student, Zeca Dantas, will perform at the event.
Promotionally, at the launch, it will be possible to obtain copies of the book "Olhares Comunicacionais" for R$ 40. After that, the book will be for sale only on Amazon Brazil's website, at the cost of R$ 72 + shipping.
About the work
The work "Olhares Comunicacionais" (Communicational Gazes) brings together studies associating communicational ecosystems and maintaining dialogues with various disciplines, taking into consideration theoretical and methodological conceptions about systems, communicational networks of social interaction, communicative languages, educommunication, organizational communication, and hybrid ancestral, religious, scientific, and popular forms of knowledge.
The work suggests new possibilities of academic knowledge, based on communication studies and objects of study in different nuances, emphasizing its dynamic, integrative, versatile, interactionist, and interdisciplinary character, as well as integrating multiple socio-cognitive, cultural, and informational processes.
