More than 20 optionsções to enjoy the weekend in the cultural spaces of the State

The weekend in the spacesçs administered by the State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy will be busy with more than 20 opções of activities of theater, música, dança, cinema and literature. Most of them are free of charge. Check it out and enjoy!

11/22 (Friday)

2 PM - In the Central Square of the Senior Center - Ceci Aparecida (Wilkens de Matos Street, s/nº), happens the traditional "Tarde Dançante"with an exclusive repertoire of boleros, promoting entertainment, leisure, and social interaction with the elderly. The party continues until 7 pm, with free admission.

5pm - At Senador Jefferson Péres Park (Avenida Lourenço da Silva Braga, 1507, Centro) there will be a presentation of "The Knight of the Sun Armorthe children's show. In the play, three tricks tell the story of a knight who discovers he is trapped in his own armor. Unable to free himself, he is forced to go on a journey. What the knight didnãt know was that this journey, seemingly taking place in wild and different places, would be within himself. Free admission.

6:30pm - At the Sala de Música do Cultural Center Palácio da Justiça (Av. Eduardo Ribeiro, 901, Centro), the Vocal Group of the Artistic Bodies will doá a recital with works that go through the renaissance untilé the Brazilian popular music, with compositions of Sermisy, Josquim des Prez, J. S. Bach, G. Verdi, Baden Powell, Vinicius de Moraes, Adoniran Barbosa, Ary Barroso and Vital Farias. In the repertoire, songs like "Tant que vivray" (Sermisy), "El grillo" (Josquim des Pres), "Es woll uns gott" (J. S. Bach) and "Va pensiero" (G. Verdi). Classificação free and admission free.

18h30 - At the Cultural Center Usina Chaminé (Av. Manaus Moderno, s/nº, Centro) will be presented "Velha Loba", solo performático, which makes an invitation to enter the wild stories of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, which leads to the universe of força arquetípica of the wolf. The lady às fireside welcomes visitors who arrive to hear ancient histórias with the scent of rosemary and white roses. Free admission. Not recommended for children under 10 years old.

7 p.m. - Also at the Chaminéll thereás a presentation of "Enlugar"which presents reflections and experiments on the relationshipção body-spaceço in abandoned houses in the city center of Manaus. Free entrance and classificationção free.

19h - Já at Largo de São Sebastião, itá will be staged "(I) World of Sofia".. In the play, Sofia is a cleaning lady who lives the harsh reality of a heavy job that often puts her in a situation of invisibility. A light and amusing look at a universe that is often ignored. Free access and classificationção free.

20h - The Ballet Álvaro Gonçalves presentá "Aladdin and the Wonderful Lâmpada"at the Amazonas Theater. In the spectacle, the humble young Aladdin is enchanted by Princess Jasmine, who has just escaped from the palace. At the same time, he is chosen to enter the treasure cave to retrieve the magic sword that frees Gaddin from a thousand-year sleep, and guarantees him the fulfillment of three wishes. Between the search of the fairy tale and the conquest of Jasmine's love, Aladdin will live many adventures. Tickets cost R$ 120 (audience and front rows), R$ 80 (1º floor), R$ 60 (2º floor) and R$ 40 (3º floor). Classificationção free.

23rd (saturday)

8am - The Pública Library of Amazonas (Rua Barroso, 57, Centro) openáwith the "Sábado na Biblioteca"This is a program that takes place one Saturday a month, with a library tour, consultation of the literature and comic book collections, and the screening of short animated children's films. Until 12 pm, with free admission and free rating.

2 PM - The last day of the "Até o Tucupi Festival will countá with an Audiovisual Showcase and a round of talks at the Cineteatro do Centro de Convivivivência da Famênia Padre Pedro Vignola (Rua Gandú, 119, Cidade Nova). From 4 pm until 10 pm, itá the Music Exhibition will happen, with shows by Renata Martins, Trialis, Karen Francis, Lua Negra, Líbito, Alderia, Aposse92, Pacato Plutão, Anna Suav & Bruna BG (PA), Ian Lecter, Raffa Moreira (SP). The presentationsções will be divided between the Open Arena and Área de Coberta. The whole program is free.

14 - Já in Cineteatro Aldemar Bonates, in the Centro de Convivivência da Família Magdalena Arce Daou (Av. Brazil s/ nº - Santo Antônio) happená the third edition of the "Urban Battle Festival Fluxo".. The event aims to promote urban dance in Manaus, encouraging the dance categories of Hip Hop. In competition format, the dancers will face each other in Break, Hip Hop, All Style, Vogue, Waacking, Locking, Popping, House, Dance Hall and Experimental. Registration will be made on the day of the event (until 4pm), for R$ 10 for each category. The program also features shows by CIA Artigo 5, Hunter K-pop Dance Cover, Ulisses Aquino Espaço de Dança. Tickets will be sold at the time of the event for R$ 10 (full) and R$ 5 (half price).

The Amazon Public Library will be the setting for discussion between readers, writers and lovers of the genre fantasy in the "I Encontro de Literatura Fantástica (Elfa)" , which will haveá the firstwhich will haveá the theme "The witches (finally) areão à loose!". The meeting will bring to the debate works such as "The History of Witchcraft" by Alexander Brooks, "The Witches' Hammer" by Springer, "House 26", a short story by Ross Freitas, and "The Witch", a comic book by Ikarow, from which the public can share experiences and literary developments. The round will be mediated by Tammy Rosas, cultural producer, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Folharal" and member of the collective Visagem, group that created the event. Classificationção free and free admission.

17h - At Rio Negro Park (Rua Beira Mar, 121, São Raimundo), the Centro de Tradição Gaúcha Rancho Manauara presentá "On the Rio-Grandense Continent, Strangers and Troopers".. The show reúne of the main moments of the Rio-Grandense Continent in the 17th century and early 18th century, still in the process of structureção and colonizationção; and exalts two fundamental social classes for the formationção of Rio Grande do Sul: the Estancieiros "Barões" and the Tropeiros "Peões". Free access.

6 PM - A narrative that proposes a timeless ritual, in a não place, in which characters, people, diálogos, citizensãos, philosophies and percepções meet to dance and dialogue about lives. Thus é "Encountering: Affections and Diálogos"the show will be presented at the Usina Chaminé Cultural Center, with free admission. Not recommended for children under 14.

6 PM - At Cultural Center Palácio da Justiçawill be presented "Brazilian Sonatas"Maria Grigorova (violin) and Renan Branco (piano), dedicated to chamber music works of the sonata genre, by the renowned Brazilian composers Claudio Santoro, Villa Lobos and Camargo Guarnieri. On the program are "Sonata n 4 for violin and piano" (Santoro), "Primeira Sonata - Fantasia Desesperance" (Villa-Lobos) and "Sonata n 4 for violin and piano" (Guarnieri). Free admission and classificaçãon free.

6:30pm - at Cineteatro Guarany (Av. Sete de Setembro, 1.546, Centro - Vila Ninita, annex to Palácio Rio Negro), within the programção of Cine Clube de Arte, happensá the The "Mostra da Memória Amazonense Contemporânea" (Exhibition of Contemporary Amazonian Memories)with the exhibition of "Joaquim Marinho - O comunicador cultural do Amazonas", a documentary by Sergio Cardoso that tells the story of public and personal life of the great cultural agitator of the Amazon. The story is told by Joaquim Marinho himself, this being the last record in his lifetime. The documentary also includes statements from his wife Silene Melo Marinho, going through memories of a Manaus that, even in the midst of military dictatorship, managed to maintain a frenetic rhythm of artistic and cultural activities in the state. A historical record of a personality who left his mark on the radio stations he played as an announcer, on the resurgence of movie theaters in downtown Manaus in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's, and on other activities. Free entrance and free indicative rating.

7 PM - At Teatro Gebes Medeiros (Av. Eduardo Ribeiro, 937, Centro - Antigo Ideal Clube) Criatê Arte & Produção will stage "On a date".. The show presents a dramaturgy that transits between the real, the fictional and their own experiences. Encounters such as that of two long-time friends, the encounter with a dog, a mismatch, a first date, and even the encounter with a mugger, are accounts addressed to the scene in a light and sensitive way, enabling the viewer to identify in the pain and laughter of these personas. "De encontro" was contemplated in the Amazonas Cênico 2019 Edital and has an indicative rating for 10 years. Free access.

8 p.m. - At the Amazonas Theater will be presented "The enchanted umbrella", a show that brings together students from the courses of Theatre, Dance, Music and Visual Arts at the Liceu de Artes e Ofícios Claudio Santoro. The show presents the birth of a great friendship amidst urban chaos and abandonment, at the same time intertwined with excerpts from great musicals. A child abandoned in the street meets a woman who teaches her that through imagination she can be anything she wants to be, and from there a great friendship is born. This woman carries a flat umbrella, but full of stories, and with it these characters live great adventures. Free entrance and free rating.

Day 24 (Sunday)

8 AM - The Amazonas Public Library will open for the 37th Book and Comic Book Exchange Fairproject that always takes place on the last Sunday of each month, with the objective of promoting the circulation of knowledge, expanding the Library's collection, and encouraging the habit of reading. This year's program will include the "Bibliotour", a guided tour telling the history and architecture of one of the most emblematic historical patrimonies of the Amazon; the screening of animated short films aimed at children and a staged story, which in this edition will be "Juca and the serpent of the river", with presentations at 9am and 11am.

To participate in the book exchange, visitors must bring books and comic books that will be exchanged for coupons. Each coupon will entitle the visitor to exchange a book for another book and a comic for another comic. The comic book coupons also entitle the visitor to exchange children's literature books. The books will be analyzed upon delivery for their state of conservation. Textbooks, technical and school books, or books in poor conservation conditions will not be accepted. Free admission.

10h - At Teatro Amazonas, the Interarte Theatrical Exhibition 2019with performances at 10am, 2pm and 7pm. In the first hour, will be presented "Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum", about Nino, a 300-year-old boy who lives in an enchanted castle with his uncle Dr. Victor, a wizard and scientist, and great-aunt Morgana, a sorceress and storyteller; "Playing in the dark", a show based on clown aesthetics, where the clowns get stuck in a house on a rainy day and power outage, and start making up stories and games to get rid of their fear; "The True Story of the Evil Bad Wolf," in which the Bad Wolf claims his role as the protagonist of the story and is put on trial after seeking a lawyer to try to clear his bar with the kids after the story of the three little pigs; and "Enchanted Party," which asks the following question: "What if great princesses and fairy tale characters living in the 21st century decided to throw a party some night? What magical adventures would they experience that day?". Tickets for the show are on sale for R$ 60 (audience and friezes), R$ 40 (1st and 2nd floors) and R$ 20 (3rd floor). Classification is free.

2 PM - In the second session of shows at the Mostra Interarte 2019 "A Escolha" (The Choice), which deals with various situations that can happen at a teenage party; "Uma por todas e todas por uma" (One for all and all for one), in which eight girls focus on issues such as female empowerment, prejudice, equality rights, violence, machismo and self-love; and "As histórias de Pedro Malasartes" (The stories of Peter Malasartes), an adaptation in which all actors and actresses are Pedros or Pietras, narrators and characters according to the following stories: The tree that gave money, Malasartes prevents the world from collapsing, The judge and the hat, Malasartes and the little bird, Malasartes and the soothsayer vulture and The stone soup.

5 PM - At Largo de São Sebastião, the Vitória Régia Company will present "The Wedding of Mapinguari's Daughtera children's musical, awarded by the Amazonas Cênico (Scenic Amazon Edital) 2019, which tells a hilarious love story with a strong ecological appeal through the representativeness of its characters: a sauim-de-coleira, a toucan, a leaf-cutter, an anteater, monkeys, and the owner of the forest, the giant Mapinguari, who decides to marry his daughter, "Lua Nova" (New Moon). Free admission.

6 PM - At Cineteatro Guarany, will be presented "The Last Boleroa play that tells the story of Cátia, a transvestite who divides herself between the shows in a nightclub and the programs she does. Besides facing this struggle for survival, Cátia supports Nonô, her mute and paralyzed brother. Her life takes an unexpected turn after she starts a relationship with young Joãozinho. Not recommended for children under 14. Free admission.

7pm - The closing of Mostra Interarte 2019, at Teatro Amazonas, will be in style with the presentation of the musical "Grease"based on the American classic "Grease", which portrays the life of the leader of a gang of greasers, Danny Zuko, and the young girl Sandy Olsson, who fall in love and have to change to live this love. Indicative rating: 12 years old. Tickets cost R$ 60 (audience and friezes), R$ 40 (1st and 2nd floors) and R$ 20 (3rd floor). Classification: free.

7 PM - At the Gebes Medeiros Theater, the third edition of "Authoral Sundayproject that encourages the dissemination of music produced in the Amazon. This time, Ketlen Nascimento will present her songs that talk about love and the natural wealth of the state. On stage, the singer will be accompanied by musicians Neil Armstrong Jr. (guitar), Eduárdo Oliveira (flute) and João Paulo (percussionist). Among the selected songs are "Te esquecer é impossível", "Canta Águias", "Segredos", "Coração Dividido", "A dor da paixão", "Verdade", "Lembrança", and "Pensando verde", some of which are from the DVD "Ketlencantamazônia", recorded at Teatro Amazonas, in 2010.

The guest of the evening will be Allan Nascimento, who will talk about his career and sing songs like "Um grito de alerta" and "Uma nova missão". Free entrance and free rating.
