MAP Airlines announces an increase in the frequency of flights in three cities in Amazonas and a new route in Pará

The new frequencies go live next week.

MAP Linhas Aéreas announces the expansion of flight frequencies in three municipalities in Amazonas and a new route in the state of Pará. The decision is part of the company's expansion plan for 2019, which expects to carry 200,000 passengers by the end of this year. To mark the start of the operation of the new flights, MAP is carrying out promotions for the contemplated destinations. They are: Parintins, Carauari, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Itaituba and Santarém.

The new frequencies will begin operating next week. According to MAP Linhas Aéreas' CEO, Héctor Hamada, with the new frequencies the company will have 17.64% more seats available. He points out that by the end of this year the company should expand the frequency of flights to other cities in which it already operates in Amazonas and Pará. "MAP has prepared a plan for this year that focuses on increasing its presence in the cities where the company already operates", he reinforced.

The city of Parintins (370 kilometers from Manaus) that is currently served by MAP from Monday to Sunday morning will gain reinforcement in the network with four flights in the morning. In addition, night flights will be moved to the afternoon.

In São Gabriel da Cachoeira (853 kilometers away) MAP will now offer three flights a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Previously there were two flights. The route to the city of Carauari (788 kilometers away) will also change, with flights leaving on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Previously, the company served the city on Mondays and Thursdays.

In the state of Pará, MAP announces that it has included in its network flights departing from Itaituba to Santarém. The operation will take place on Saturdays. Itaituba already receives flights from the company leaving Belém on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Santarém receives flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays also departing from the Pará capital.

MAP Linhas Aéreas operates in 14 municipalities in Amazonas and Pará. In Amazonas, it serves the capital city, Manaus, as well as Parintins, Lábrea, Carauari, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barcelos, Tefé, Eirunepé and Coari. In Pará, it has regular flights to Belém, Porto Trombetas, Santarém, Itaituba and Altamira.
