Marcia Novo and Manoel Cordeiro promote panel about Amazonian rhythms

The event is a counterpart to the project "EP and Videoclip Eletroboi," contemplated in the 2018 Cultural Connections Call for Proposals.

The singer Márcia Novo and the musical producer Manoel Cordeiro promote, for free, this Sunday (15), the panel "Amazon Rhythms in Contemporary Artdirected to musicians, producers, and artists. The initiative is a counterpart to the project "EP and Videoclip Eletroboi", contemplated in the Cultural Connections 2018 Edict, of Manaus City Hall.

On occasion, the artists will talk about their experiences and perspectives on the new moment of music in the Amazon. At the end, a pocket show will take place with some of the new productions that will be coming with the new work of Eletroboi.

"The Eletroboi project started a musical experimentation in 'Se questa,' and then we understood that we could bring a new sound to the boi-bumbá. From this, we started to write it, mixing the organic percussion of the boi with electronic beats. The idea of this project is to revisit great hits from the 1990s and make new productions with my current songs. It will be a four-track EP," explained Marcia.

The meeting, with limited vacancies, will be held in the Sonora studio, at Rua José Álvares Maciel, Dom Pedro neighborhood, center-west zone, from 5pm to 8pm. A total of 40 openings will be offered, and to participate, it is necessary to sign up through the Instagram profile @marcianovocantora.
