"Last year, the Millennium was invaded by robots during the first edition of Tech Week and was a great success among customers of all ages. And this time, we want to repeat the dose, but first we will warm things up with this school robotics festival, which will undoubtedly encourage even more children and teenagers to venture into the technological world", said the Millennium Shopping marketing coordinator, Elizandra Xavier.

In Category 1, children from the 1st to the 5th grade of elementary school will participate in Pre-Tech Week; in Category 2, it will be the turn of children from the 6th to the 9th grade of elementary school; and in Category 3, those who compete are high school and technical students, besides college students and hobbyists.

According to ControlBot's director, Tiago Cauassa, the goal is to encourage the population to learn more about this work that is done inside the schools and to encourage educational robotics, which combines the disciplines Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, and also stimulates teamwork, exercising the students' self-confidence and with reflexes in other areas of school life.

"In addition to bringing together children and young people, the festival will also include adult teams to meet and compete amicably, without awards, in order to prepare them for Tech Week," he explains.
