The Government of Amazonas, through the State Department of Labor (Setrab), will hold, from June 26th (Wednesday) to June 30th (Sunday), from 10am to 9pm, at the Cathedral square, the 16th Handicraft Showin Parintins. In the event, in addition to the exhibitions of handicraft products, there will be the issue and delivery of artisans cards services.
At the opening of the show, there will be the delivery of the National Artisan Card for the artisans registered during the Amazonas Presente. There will be 40 from Parintins and 25 from Barreirinha.
In partnership with the State Indian Foundation (FEI), the exhibition will have approximately 70 artisans from Amazonas, 50 of whom will participate directly from Setrab and 20 indigenous artisans will represent the FEI. The artisans are from the municipalities of Parintins, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Barreirinha, Manaus, among others.
During the event, artisans and solidarity groups will sell a variety of indigenous accessories such as headdresses, earrings, necklaces, shirts, baskets, ceramics, among other regional products.
Aiming for a good public reach, the State Secretary of Labor, Neila Azrak says that the expectation is that more than 7 thousand people will visit the exhibition and that more than R$ 300 thousand will be commercialized.
"Our artisans will have the opportunity to obtain income to support their families and to promote the heating of the economy of the municipality and our state. An event like this is the business field for these professionals and they will be able to show their work, especially to those who come from outside Brazil, they will make new contacts, and, moreover, they will make our art and our culture be valued", said Neila.
