Theater and Visual Arts students from Claudio Santoro High School of Arts and Craftsof the State Secretariat of Culture (SEC), will present to the public what they have learned in the classroom, during the Mostra de Processos Criativosthat will take place from July 29th to August 1st, at the State Center for Living Together Padre Pedro Vignola (Gandu street, 119, Cidade Nova). The activities always start at 4pm, with free entrance and free rating.
The program includes 17 theatrical presentations and an exhibition of about 60 works by Visual Arts students, such as paintings, drawings, and illustrated projects. "The content of these works is pertinent to the course. The students created, individually and collectively, based on their studies of Brazilian Art, Comics, Costume and Scenography Illustration, and also Watercolor in Natural Pigments, which uses elements such as coffee and paprika", explains Juliana Fonseca Mascarin, coordinator of the Visual Arts Center at the high school.
The public will also be able to watch theatrical performances by students of different ages, from the Liceu's units at the Prof. Juliana Fonseca Mascarin Convention Center. Gilberto Mestrinho - Sambódromo and the Padre Pedro Vignola Community Center. The themes of the presentations range from the Holocaust to the conflicts of adolescence, including children's plays such as "The Revolution of Musical Notes" and "Amazon SuperHero".
"This contact with the public is very important for our students, who experience theater as it really is. In addition, they feel very motivated with the support of their parents and the community," observes the coordinator of the Theater Nucleus, Tiago Oliveira da Rocha.
Two workshops will also be offered to the public: Colorization Workshop (July 30th) and Paper Toy Workshop (August 1st). Both will start at 4pm, lasting approximately one hour, and are free of charge. Registration will be done on site, on the day of the activity, on a first come, first served basis. Each class will have 15 places and anyone can participate.
