This January, the Amazonian Museum offers interested parties a free audiovisual course. The Audiovisual Production Workshop (OPA) will be held from January 20th to February 28th, and aims to present audiovisual production techniques. Enrollment takes place until January 13, with the announcement of those selected on Thursday, January 16. The museum is located at Ramos Ferreira, 1036, Centro.
The OPA will be taught by the producer Thiago Morais, and will always happen on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 13:30 to 16:30. More information can be obtained by phone (92) 3305-1181, extension 2021, or by WhatsApp 99468-8911. Registration can be done through the online form, available here.
According to Thiago Morais, the result of this workshop involves the production of a film made by the students themselves, with the support of the Cultural Diffusion Division of the Amazon Museum, which will provide technical resources such as filming, editing and finishing equipment, and an auditorium with capacity for 40 people to show the films. "This is a way to cooperate with the promotion of this type of production and disseminate the work of young talent," said Thiago Morais.
The films produced by the students of the workshop will be exhibited on June 19, in the event OPA!
The director of the Amazon Museum, Dysson Teles, understands that initiatives of this size only strengthen the role of the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam) and the Amazon Museum, which is to integrate with society, promoting an exchange of knowledge. "In previous years, the workshop was developed in the morning shift, but we received many messages from people who were interested in participating and had no availability in the morning shift. They asked to open a class in the afternoon, preferably during the vacations, so we decided to offer the Holiday Course this year", added the director.
