The bus fare in Manaus will cost R$ 3.30, starting this Saturday (28), as announced by the acting mayor Marcos Rotta, on the morning of Thursday (26). The 10% adjustment comes four years after the last change in value. This same percentage will be the increase granted to bus drivers.
The subsidy to be paid by the City, with the new rate, is R $ 0.25 in the conventional ticket. The City will also pay R $ 0.15 as a subsidy for half fare. According to Semcom, the total amount of subsidy to be paid in 2017 is R $ 60 million.
According to Rotta, with the agreement, public transport in the capital will gain improvements and the City ensures stability in service to the population.
Rotta explained that, for the adjustment was granted, conditions were met as the launch of the application 'Cadê Meu ônibus', which allows the user to know the exact time that the bus will pass the point; fleet renewal since new vehicles are already in the process of acquisition by entrepreneurs, according to Sinetram; expansion of 12 to 200 points of sale of credits for cards Passa Fácil System; permanence of half-fare for students in R$ 1.50, and increase of 10% for road workers.
Application
With 'Cadê Meu Ônibus', the citizen will be able to check the time that the buses will pass by the stops in Manaus. Just enter the line number in the application's search, which will show the stops where the bus will pass and the exact time. This is possible thanks to the GPS installed in each bus.
The application was developed by a team of Sinetram programmers and is already available for download on the Android operating system. Within a week, Cadê Meu Ônibus will be available for iOS device users.
