Jazz returns to the stage of Teatro Amazonas with all its rhythm and cadence, in the concert called "Post Bossa Nova".

Lasting 70 minutes, the musicians of the Amazonas Jazz Band, under the command of maestro Rui Carvalho, will make the audience present "shake their hips" with a repertoire of chilling Brazilian songs, such as Mais que Nada e Patropiby Jorge Ben Jor, and Madalenaby Ivan Lins. Samba Dobradoby Djavan and Upa, Neguinhoby Edu Lobo, are also in the sequence of the concert, which will also bring the traditional arrangement by Rui Carvalho of Aquele Abraçoby Gilberto Gil.

An engaging musical style, influenced by samba and that marked a period in the history of Brazilian Popular Music, jazz returns to the stage of Teatro Amazonas with all its rhythm and cadence, in the concert entitled "Post Bossa Nova", performed by the Amazonas Jazz Band, on Tuesday (Feb. 7, 2017) at 8 p.m. and Sunday (Feb. 12, 2017) at 7 p.m.with free admission. The event is a realization of the Government of Amazonas, via the State Secretariat of Culture, and aims to celebrate the 120 years of the Teatro Amazonas and 20 years of the Secretariat of Culture.

According to the conductor Rui Carvalho, the concert was designed to present all the Brazilian musicality to thousands of tourists who arrive daily to the capital of Amazonas in this festive month.

"The Amazonas Band feels honored to participate in the festivities of the 20th anniversary of the Secretary of Culture and the 120th anniversary of the Teatro Amazonas, doing what we do best: music!
