Next Saturday (July 20th), the Provincial Palace receives an exhibition composed entirely of works created by junior artists. With the theme "Colors and Possibilitiesthe exhibition will be open to visitors until August 20th. Admission is free, and the classification is free.
There, the public will be able to see 26 canvases, with abstract paintings and drawings, by students between 5 and 13 years old who attend the AteliRê. "They are very happy. The children are enchanting, a little box of surprises and full of creativity," praises teacher and artist Rejane Melo, creator of the initiative.
AteliRê has existed for three years and, according to Rejane, it has already taken the students' work to exhibitions in other states and even countries, such as Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay. "In July, we participated with 16 students in a show in Limeira (SP) and received all the awards of the night as New Talents, being the only representatives of the North region", she celebrates, adding that the group will land in Paris, in October, and in Miami, in December.
For the teacher, the contact with art helps children develop their view of the world and stimulates communication, transmitting thoughts through their strokes, paintings, and creations.

"The workshop came with an initial proposal to take children out of the cell phones and allow them to see the world in a different way. During these years we have noticed that the students feel good about painting, talking about their paintings, and researching. More sensitive children will certainly be better adults. It's fantastic", he observes.
The SEC's Museums director, Turenko Beça, highlights that, besides the stimulus that an exhibition like this represents for the little ones, the activity is also an opportunity to bring this children public closer to the cultural equipments, rich in history and sensibility.
