In its fifth edition, the project of artistic occupation of the Historic Center of Manaus, Passo a Paçoconsolidates itself as the Amazon Integrated Arts Festivalpromoting the meeting of various expressions and artistic and cultural languages, national and local, in the historic cradle of the Amazon capital. The program was launched by the Manaus City Hall and the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Tourism and Events (Manauscult), this Tuesday, 7/8, at Les Artistes Café Teatro, in the Center of the capital.
The 2018 edition takes place on September 1 and 2, with shows by Elza Soares, Projota, The Great Encounter (Elba Ramalho, Alceu Valença and Geraldo Azevedo), Iza e Tropkillazin the music scene. The actor Caio Blat will also be present with the show "Grande Sertão: Veredasadaptation of the text by Guimarães Rosa, at the Café Teatro, and the presence of chef Bela Gil and presentations by more than 25 local artists.
The City Hall program to promote the redefinition of the central region of the city through integrated arts combined with regional contemporary gastronomy, breaks new ground with the opening of Platform Malcher, area located within the Port of Manaus, on the banks of the river Negro, for artistic-cultural occupation, bringing new experiences and experiences to the public.
In 2017, the Praça dos Ingleses, also located within the port area, hosted local and national performances, allowing the public to visit the site, after more than a decade of closure. According to the CEO of Manauscult, the Passo a Paço, which is now part of the cultural calendar of the city of Manaus, is more than a meeting of arts, culture and gastronomy and represents the rescue of the Historic Center of the city.
"This scenario, which has already been the stage for the city's cultural life, for major decisions of society, which houses a good part of our historical heritage, once again has this representativeness for our cultural identity. And, this year, we bring several novelties. One of them is that we managed to set foot in the city's port. We are Manauaras, we have a relationship with the river, and now we will occupy the stretch where the cargo terminal used to be, on the banks of the Negro River," said Bernardo Monteiro.

Artists such as Márcia Novo, Marcelo Nakamura, Lorenzo Fortes, Luso Neto e Victor Xamã will be some of the regional attractions at the event, as well as Lucinha Cabral, Paulo Onça, Bel Martine e Joelma Klaudia.
"I will do a show with dancers and a lot of performance. I will mix the repertoire with some new singles and the sound of beiradão, which was my last work. It will be very eclectic and danceable, with the classics that can't be missed either," said Márcia Novo.
Also make up the line-up of the event are the groups Carrapicho, República Popular, Aracema, Persepton, Escândalo Fônico, Alaídenegão, Trio Remanso, Nossa Música, and Roda com Elas, with Lucilene Castro, Cinara Nery, Fátima Silva, and Márcia Siqueira, besides the bands Redphone and Luneta Mágica.
